Nick is an experienced logistics professional, gained in a 35-year career across the industry. He has a track record of success in a wide range of roles, from logistics operations and implementation management, to supply chain consultancy and business development for a number of global third party logistics companies.
During his career, he has worked in many industries, including Retail, where he spent much of his early career, Consumer, Manufacturing, Chemicals, Healthcare and the UK Public Sector. He has also travelled widely, having an extensive working knowledge of the UK, European, Asia Pacific, and South Africa markets.
Nick has undertaken many types of consultancy and business improvement projects. These include supply chain optimisation initiatives, assessing global freight and transportation flows, product storage and inventory levels, to identify opportunities to increase service levels and reduce costs. Furthermore, he has conducted many outsourcing programs, working on behalf of both clients and service providers.
He also has extensive knowledge in the handling, transportation and storage of ‘specialised’ products such as Chemicals and perishable Pharmaceutical products, including the leadership of quality assurance initiatives and training programmes, aimed at ensuring clients and logistics service providers meet their strict handling needs, safety provisions and regulatory requirements.
He is also a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Logistics and Transport.
