A WELL MANAGED AND REWARDING EVENT Bisham Consulting attended a busy Multi-Modal exhibition at the NEC on the 4th to 6th April.  A well laid out Hall 4 contained approximately 200 exhibitors, ranging from transport operators, shipping lines, cargo ports, forwarders and 3PL’s to packaging, handling equipment, software suppliers and training and recruitment agencies. NexTrust (www.nextrust-project.eu) a 30 member consortium of some of Europe’s leading thinkers on collaborative logistics, has secured a grant from the European Commission (EC). The grant has been awarded in a competition entitled “Fostering synergies alongside the supply chain (including e-commerce)” under Horizon 2020 and is administrated by the EC’s Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA). Last night Bisham Consulting sponsored the McKibbin Award at the CILT(UK) Awards Dinner. The award is for the best paper written on a Supply Chain, Logistics or Transport topic. This year the winner who received a prize of £1750 was Lee Wood from DHL Logistics.
