David Turner MILT

David has extensive experience within the logistics industry, having managed a number of national distribution operations across a diverse range of industry sectors. He has project-managed both new warehousing developments, from concept to commissioning, as well as reconfiguring and equipping existing warehouses.

He is a mechanical engineer by training, specialising in materials handling, storage and project management. He has wide experience of automated storage, packing systems, warehouse layouts and manpower planning.

His work as a consultant includes project-managing fully automated storage facilities, developing paperless warehousing systems, as well as devising and implementing improvement proposals for clients’ existing warehouses.

He has experience of long-term strategic planning of national and regional distribution operations, developing migration strategies, designing layouts and handling systems, and preparing operating budgets within the retail sector.
